The Warren G. Harding High School choirs are a lot different from other schools in the area. The way the students connect and have fun is really incredible. Mr. Rising and Mrs. Meese are the choir directors. During their classes, the students gather around the piano and practice singing. It’s pretty entertaining in my opinion. I talked to Mr. Rising about how he runs his class, and what he expects.

Many students throughout our school know that Mr. Whitacre is the teacher that runs the Warren Student Communication Network (WSCN). But how did he get here? Mr. Whitacre graduated from Girard High School in 1995 four years later he received his Bachelor’s Degree in English. Then in 2009 he received his master’s degree. He originally received his B.A. from Youngstown State University when he graduated in 1999. He has been a teacher at Harding for the last thirteen years. He is also one of the most avid San Francisco 49ers fans in the state of Ohio.

For ant student who loves the stars astronomy will definitely be a great class to take. Astronomy is the study of the stars and the planets and can be used for navigation. This class will end up being the easiest class on your schedule if you pay attention and take notes when they are given. The good thing about this class is that you don’t have to carry a huge book at all. So I highly recommend this class for any senior who is looking for an easy graduation credit.

Kristen B. is an extremely smart student who usually gets a straight A report card. She was excluded from her finals last year because of her ability to retain perfect grades. She is a part of the AP Chemistry class taught by Mrs. Hays-Neifer. She will be attending Findlay University in the fall. She has been a constant recipient of the gold renaissance card which earns her an independent study day which is basically a free day off of school.

Emily T. is a smart and athletic student who is very nice and caring of others. She is a big fan of the French language but her true passion is swimming. She is a part of the Harding Swimming and Dive team. She is only a sophomore but is clearly going to be a leader on the swim team in the near future. She graduates from Harding in the spring of 2015. She will have to step into some pretty big shoes when senior swim leader Brenna H. graduates in the spring.

With many different sports and activities constantly going on at Warren G. Harding High School, it can be hard to keep up with it all. One sport that is often overlooked in the busyness of the fall is the Varsity Girls Tennis team lead by Coach Craig Charnas. Captain Lia P. and Co-Captain Brenna H. helped Coach Charnas to ensure the team would have a successful and memorable season in many ways.

Ms.Gogel is 43 years old. She has two daughters, Tia and Talia. Also has a dog named pippy she loves very much. Her favorite color is black and her hobbies include reading, traveling and things about ghost hunting. Favorite food is hot chicken wings. Her favorite movie is The Sixth Sense. She is afraid of heights.

Where did the cycle of life begin? Mercedes was born on November 20th of 1994. She was born at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown Ohio. When she was younger, she wanted to be a doctor when she grows up but now she is 18 years old and her life only changed a little bit.
What are her favorites? She likes to read, write, and draw. Her favorite food is Chicken Bacon and Ranch pizza and she likes to drink Code Red Mountain Dew. Her favorite color would happen to be blue. Her favorite holiday would have to be Valentine’s Day because she cares about the people she loves.

A Warren G Harding student Emily M. is a student who demonstrates excellence in her academic achievement throughout the many years in high school. Emily was born on September 12th, 1994 and grew up with her twin sister Molly and an older brother. She attended elementary schools like Lincoln and Garfield. Life for her growing up was good. Something that motivates her is her family and her goals involve her majoring in digital media and design, so that she can become a graphic designer.
